The Stinger Robot Kit was designed to appeal to the entry-level robotic enthusiast. This is an excellent starter kit, which can grow as the user's expertise grows. This all new design allows the builder to increase the capabilities by adding on components such as a Serializer with Bluetooth, sensors, cameras, and many other accessories without having to upgrade to a new platform. This rugged indoor platform allows more time for enthusiasts to develop intelligent software (such as vision recognition & navigation, or localization and mapping).
The Stinger features commercial grade parts, such as aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel fasteners, not found on any other robotics kits in its price range. The unique design of the two piece powder-coated chassis allows for quick assembly times and easy access to the internals. We also added in two high torque 100 oz-in DC gearhead motors, featuring built in Quadrature wheel encoders with 624 pulses per revolution.
The Stinger can easily maneuver through shag carpet and many other types of flooring, as well as traverse over small obstacles. The Stinger utilizes large, wide foam tires for excellent traction, and can easily spin around thanks to its differential drive configuration.
The front bumper is designed to allow customers to mount various sensors, such as bump sensors, line following sensors, infrared sensors, etc.

Stinger Robotic Kit Movies
